2023年3月に死去した坂本龍一が自ら指揮・演奏を担った2014年のオーケストラ公演の模様が映画化。同公演は、YMO時代の名曲をはじめとして「Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence（戦場のメリークリスマス）」「ラストエンペラー」などの代表作、映画音楽など、坂本の多彩な楽曲が東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団の演奏によって披露されたもの。映画では、その模様が5.1chサラウンドで再構築され、臨場感のある音楽体験として観客に届けられる。

ガンとの闘病で長らく表舞台から遠ざかっていた坂本龍一が、NHKのスタジオでピアノソロを収録。2020年コロナ禍のなかで行った配信コンサート以来2年ぶりに坂本龍一の演奏が戻ってきた。先に行われた配信とこの番組、そして現在編集中の長編コンサート映画の収録を行ったのは、自身がその響きをこよなく愛するNHKの509スタジオ。病により演奏を長く続ける体力がないため撮影は1日2,3曲時間をかけて丁寧に行われた。ニューヨークから信頼する撮影チームを招き盤石の体制で収録した演奏から選り抜きの名曲を紹介。また8日間にわたる撮影の舞台裏やインタビューなど貴重な映像満載でお届けする。 曲目 「Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence」、「The Last Emperor」、「Tong Poo」 他。

Play about an elderly couple who don't want to be moved from the house in which they have lived all their lives, but may be forced to as they live in a designated redevelopment area.
